I love supporting local Tasmanian brands and businesses as I grew up in a little rural area just north of Launceston, Rosevears. The team at The Makers in Hobart have been very helpful this year in assisting me in purchasing some socks and hair essentials. They have quality products at affordable prices and great shipping too. I collect wooden figurines, and the moment I saw this shop, I knew that I had to go in. They have a great selection of vintage Japanese products, that are hard to find anywhere else. Also, the sales assistant was really polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. Would definitely visit again when I’m in Hobart next.

Bought a number of items online, the descriptions and photographs should be considered a creative guide only, colours were off and descriptions inaccurate. The $24 Japanese Cypress soap described as "carefully hand-crafted by artisans" and having "a fresh, invigorating aroma" was unscented and mass produced containing palm oil.

so saddened by the way we were treated in store by a staff member and the lack of response or care from the store after reaching out 😞

I live interstate so have only visited this beautiful store online. Bought a pair of boots that unfortunately were too small but no problem exchanging them.🥰 spoke with Emily who was fabulous! Will definitely shop here again!
