Vinnies

📍 Bridal shops in Carrum Downs

5.8

Vinnies in Carrum Downs offers a diverse range of second-hand bridal and formalwear, appealing to those seeking unique, budget-friendly options. The store’s selection includes a mix of pre-loved dresses, accessories, and sometimes even furniture, making it a practical choice for discerning shoppers. While the organization of certain sections—like media and books—can feel less intuitive, the variety remains a standout feature.

Service experiences may vary, with some visitors appreciating the friendly staff, though others report occasional impatience near closing times. Additionally, pricing on certain items, particularly children’s goods, has drawn criticism for not aligning with expectations for a not-for-profit outlet. Overall, the store holds potential but could benefit from improved accessibility and more consistent customer engagement.

The prices for toys are crazy here, it never used to be like this but for some reason they have jacked up all the kids toys, for things that get donated for free it's a rip off what your charging, dinosaurs for $12, 2 cars for $6, wooden car toys 3 for $4 when these cars are $1 each at kmart is robbery, you even have a backpack toy that was brand new at kmart for $5 and your charging $6?!?! Who ever is doing your pricing should be ASHAMED! For a not for profit organisation it's laughable that Savers a for profit organisation is cheaper, also ridiculous that the kids warehouse (a place that if you donate you actually get credit for items sold) are cheaper as well. Fix your prices!! This is why your loosing so many customers and sales also if your going to sell small protein bars that are past the best before don't sell them for more than supermarkets when they have them in date!

i came here just before closing and the staff were unbelievably rude. i only had a few items to try on and i was being mindful of the closing time, but one staff member said i had five minutes and another immediately snapped "no, right now" for no reason. i wasn’t being slow or difficult, they just wanted to shut early and treated anyone still there like an inconvenience. when i left the change room and went to my car to sort out my gps, a man from the car park came up to my window and started yelling at me to leave. i told him i understood but he kept repeating himself and trying to escalate it. as soon as i responded, he suddenly ran off, so it was clear he just wanted to be aggressive, not actually communicate. i was a paying customer and would have been gone even faster if they had simply spoken politely. the whole interaction was unnecessary and stressful

The prices are astronomical and shocking! I have added an example below, $15 for toddler shoes they were disgusting and dirty. I made the lady take them off the shelf. The children’s toys are unaffordable.

This store used to be so well laid out and everything was accessible to elderly and disabled .Now it looks like a complete mess and an accident waiting to happen especially the new layout of cd,s and DVD,s.The furniture part does nothing to show off the furniture . The only thing that hasn't changed is the warm and welcoming staff. Lift your game Vinnies

Pretty upset they moved the media to those tall shelves. It makes it a lot more inaccessible for people with mobility issues and also its too disorganised to sort through. The books section is hard to sort through too as it isn’t categorised.
