Spotlight Capalaba

Went to Spotlight Capalaba, Qld last week to purchase single bed sheets. Saw a sign placed over the original purchase price stating there was 50% off. Seeing I was only interested in single bed sheets, the smallest of that brand, I look it that they were now $6 each. Went to pay for them (2) and told my purchase was $100. I questioned this as the sign said $6, or 50% off. Told that it was a generic sign they put around the store to help customers work out the discounted price. When I spoke to the Manager (Bec), she told me that this is their marketing strategy to which I replied, "no, this is misleading marketing and false advertising" I informed her that I intend to take this matter to the Dept of Fair Trading and/or ACCC as Spotlight do not have a Complaints section on their website even though she directed me to this. Shame on you Spotlight for misleading me and the public.

Recently visited to purchase curtains on one occasion and bean bag refills on the other. The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, the store itself felt very overwhelming; it was extremely cluttered and difficult to navigate, making it hard to find what I needed (lucky the shop attendant helped me find exactly where I needed to go). I’m not sure if all Spotlight stores are like this, but this particular location felt quite chaotic and overstimulating.

Excellent customer service and such a lovey store to walk through. Everything was easy to find and Ruby helped me a lot. She is such a nice lady and helped me find the perfect yarn.

Very cluttered hard to move around in the store. There were hardly any staff on the floor to assist. I bought the wrong sized item and took it back. The refund process was quick however and there seemed to be more staff available when I returned about an hour later who helped me find the correct item I was looking for.

I just want to say that I just got the most amazing service from Bailey! I normally go to the MacGregor store who are unbelievably unhelpful and Bailey went above and beyond. Staff like that are hard to find! Thank you so much for your wonderful service

Very busy, stood in a queue for a bit at checkout, until another person slowly arrived at the checkouts (8 in line). Quite a bit of mess in the shop - could be due to boxing day sales. Stocks not replenished -.maybe under staffed?

Went to spotlight and tried asking if they had an item I was interested in one worker straight up ignored me didn’t even look at me pretended like I didn’t even exist, then asked another worker and she sounded so depressed as hell and just looking at her body language, looked like she didn’t even want to help or even care, and the long lines at the checkouts are ridiculous they need self operating machines and have more space
