Hansang Strathfield

Hansang Strathfield serves really tasty Korean food and it’s easy to see why the place is always packed. The dishes were delicious and full of flavor — definitely worth the visit. Be prepared to wait though. It’s extremely busy and the wait time is usually 20+ minutes, especially around lunch and dinner .Walking in during peak hours isn’t the best idea if you’re in a hurry. Service was okay considering how busy the restaurant gets. The staff are clearly working hard, but if you’re in a group you may need to get their attention when you need something. Overall, great food and worth the wait. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

If you want real, deep flavour, Hansang is the place. I came specifically for the Ox Bone Soup, and you can taste the difference—the broth is so rich and milky (apparently simmered for 72 hours!). The portion sizes are huge and the meat falls right off the bone. Authentic, hearty, and perfect for a cold night. Definitely worth the queue!

They have good soup rice here which is plenty in ingredients and moderately seasoned so that it is not very spicy. The small dishes are fine but the portion is quite small. It would be good if customers can choose what they want for the small dishes. Staff are always busy but can still attend to our requests timely.

What a great Korean dining experience in Strathfield. You’ll feel like you’re actually in Korea. The side dishes are generous and their menu is spectacular, with things you don’t find at your standard Korean restaurant in Australia. The soups are great for a rainy day. Food is reasonably priced for the experience you get. Staff are clearly well trained and attentive. I got the ox bone broth and it was smooth, comforting and had ample beef slices.

I went for dinner on Friday with my colleagues. One of them had never tried Korean food before, so it was her first time. We were so lucky we brought her to the right place. All the food we ordered was delicious. We had the Gamjatang hot pot, seafood pancake, bulgogi, and steamed eggs. We will definitely be back!
