St Albans Flower Market

The flowers were beautiful. They arrived at 7:51pm. Unfortunately, the delivery window selected and paid for was 9am–1pm. There was no communication about the delay. not at 1pm, not at 4pm, and not until I managed to get through around 6pm after several unanswered calls and messages. I completely understand that Valentine’s Day is a busy time. What’s harder to understand is how a business offering timed delivery doesn’t provide updates when they are running several hours behind. A simple message would have prevented a lot of unnecessary stress. When I finally reached someone, I was asked if I could pick the flowers up myself. I live in a different state, which is why I paid for delivery. An apology or explanation would have been appreciated. Interestingly, I was later told that other callers were given apologies and informed about an "upgrade." I wasn’t given that courtesy. The bouquet that arrived was different from the one ordered. While it was still lovely, it would have been nice to be informed that substitutions were being made. Especially after such a significant delay. If you’re going to offer scheduled delivery, clear communication seems like a reasonable expectation.

I have bought and received flowers from this florist a few times now and it’s been the most pleasant experience each time. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Plus the flowers are amazing quality! Highly recommend for anyone looking to buy flowers for any occasion.

Picked up flowers today for Valentine's from the Valentine's collection and it didnt meet my expectations. I ordered five days prior to arriving and booked my pickup time from 9:00am to 1pm. I arrived at 12:55pm to find the shop full of guys waiting to pick up their flowers. What I found was there was no communication at all from the staff. No one was explaining what was going on as I was expecting my order to already be ready a while ago. I was asking the other patrons what was going on and alot of them told me they have been waiting since 9am in the morning for their orders which was shocking. I then had to find one of the male shopkeepers for help and got him to write down my order number. It was clear they had no solid system in place to meet the demands of the sales they were making and to service the patrons. Alot of the staff were just ignoring the customers and telling them to wait 5 minutes. Guys we are already paying a massive markup on your products so a little bit of communication and order would have gone a long way. Also you guys know that Valentine's Day will be busy and would have received many order days in advance. Surely you guys would have anticipated this volume. I won't be back for Valentine's Day.

I popped in spontaneously this evening and urgently needed two bouquets of flowers. They gave me super nice advice and wrapped the bouquets beautifully. Super uncomplicated and there is a huge selection of great flowers! I would buy flowers here again every time. Love them! 🩷
