I recently visited Talking Tables Indian Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The menu offers a great variety of authentic Indian dishes, from rich and creamy curries to perfectly cooked tandoori meats and flavorful vegetarian options. Every dish I tried was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience comfortable and welcoming. The restaurant itself has a warm, cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for a casual dinner with friends or family. Portions are generous and reasonably priced, making it great value for money. Whether you’re a fan of classic Indian cuisine or want to try something a little different, Talking Tables is a restaurant I would highly recommend.
The food here is amazing. My typical dish is prawn curry and it is a very smooth, creamy curry. The cheese and garlic naan is to die for! The atmosphere is generally quiet, but the food and service is amazing. Our go to Indian in Penrith.
I’ve been coming here for 5 years and it’s always been my favourite hidden gem in Penrith. Sadly, the quality has dropped while prices have climbed. $25 for a butter chicken — and such a tiny portion at that. Every dish arrived lukewarm, as though it had just been reheated (bowls were piping hot but food was cold in the centre). Softdrink was flat as if the bottle had been opened already, whereas we used to receive the can with a glass which is more bang for your buck. It’s disappointing to say, but I won’t be returning, which is a real shame given how much I used to enjoy this place.
Absolutely delicious! The flavours were incredible and the service was warm and friendly. Easily one of the best Indian restaurants around!
A bit of a hidden location, this restaurant has a simple but quant layout. Unfortunately for us the food did not meet expectations. We ordered Mango Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh with Cheese & Garlic Nan. The food lacked flavour and authenticity. As someone who loves Indian cuisine, I was left disappointed. The prices were standard, and the service wasn’t the best. We seated ourselves as no one was around to seat us however, the waiter was lovely.
Tonight was my first time trying Talking Tables, I definitely was not disappointed! We ordered the samosas & assorted pakoras for starters, then butter chicken, butter paneer & Bombay beef for our mains. All were absolutely delicious. So aromatic and full of flavour. Service was lovely, maybe there could be some music playing in the background as it was very quiet. 5/5 stars, will definitely be trying again when in Penrith.
2020 Update: still the best butter chicken I’ve ever had, & I’ve been to India. Very delicious food and great friendly, fast service.
