Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre

Attendant the 2026 Gold Coast International Futsal Championship Tournament to watch my daughter play. First time to the venue, parking was easy and convenient. Nice set up but a little chaotic with so many kids and so many games being played at the same time. Food and drink was what I expected to pay and the merchandise was a little expensive.

One of the most phenomenal multi dimensionsal sports facilities in Queensland that I have been to. 2 massive halls covering Basketball, Volleyball, Futsal and numerous other sports. Excellent cafeteria, ablutions. Light, open, airy with underground parking. An outstanding facility.

Absolutely fantastic facilities, world-class! Te parking is a bit of a nightmare though there is enough. Wish there were venues of this standing for all sports!

Great sport facilities. Two giant halls which can be converted to multiple indoor courts to serve different purposes. There are multiple cafes inside which provide an option for a light meal. Plenty of park spaces available but terrible public transport support. For a sports centre which can host up to thousands of people there are only buses nearby and the closest stops, depending on the direction of travel are 750m and 500m away. I get it that this facility is underused most of the time but I would argue it's an indirect result of having to drive.

Wow. What a venue, multi purpose home of indoor sports and function centre, and home to the Qld Sun's AFL team. They have purpose built venue at rear of complex, with built in pool and clubhouse/training centre. However the main complex, the Gold Coast &/or Carrara Sports & Leisure Centre has two major halls, one is divided into eight basketball courts for this week's events with a large viewing galley above accessible from stairs in foyer. Other hall has 5 courts with 6th area for training, and can be set up as a 6000+ seated Stadium. Upstairs are a number of smaller office function spaces overlooking courts, with catering areas attached. Foyer had three catering kitchens for use and a main Cafe set up at North end overlooking ovals and into hall two. Numerous toilet/ changeroom facilities flanked either side of foyer for all courts. And it all sits atop an undercover carpark. Very nice venue indeed.

Went here for School Sport Australia games opening ceremony. Cafe made an excellent chai latte and had a good choice of cakes. Carpark was a nightmare though- for big events, having one main entry /exit caused a huge bottleneck - some people took just under an hour to get out!
