Smugglers on the Beach

This is Joseph’s wife here, I had to write this review and it will be a bit long one. I’m a clean freak and if you are one, book this place right now. It is not a fancy luxury resort but almost as clean as my house. It is our 4th day here and I’m not an easy to please person and I couldn’t find even one reason to complain. We staying in room 10 and light grey couches in the room look brand new. Any hotel we go, I have to clean inside of the drawers before I put our clothes but first time I didn’t need to. It may sound funny but even between the grouts in the shower is white as. Old style oven and stove top, microwave in the kitchen are all super clean as brand new. I have called them before we come and mentioned that both of my kids have skin problems and wanted to make sure room doesn’t have mould or dust and upon our arrival, Sue mentioned that they have not used harsh chemicals to clean the room which was very nice and a relief to hear. I also would like to highlight the bbq area and outside kitchen being surprisingly clean every single day and also laundry had high quality washing machines and open to use like your own house. Thank you Sue and Peter. This is our first time but we will be coming back.

Everything went to plan when we stayed. Service was good but low key, and it felt like a great balance. The pool was perfectly maintained. There was adequate facilities to do all the washing that is needed for a family on holiday. Right next to a beach. Recommended, even if it's not brand new and spotless.

We had a one bedroom unit that was spacious and very clean, with a well equipped kitchen and all kitchen utensils and equipment one would conceivably need. The full size fridge with a working freezer compartment was an unexpected bonus, as was the guest laundry and outside clothes lines. ||The bed and pillows were firm and the room was comfortably warm during cool evenings. Having a throw in the living room was appreciated as were plenty of extra, clean, blankets. ||Our unit looked out over the lush gardens of the pool area and we could hear the ocean at night. ||The staff were friendly and always helpful, available to assist in any way they could. ||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return.

What a beautiful place to stay, Sue n her team do a fantastic job keeping this place immaculate. The rooms have everything n it’s so peaceful n super close to the beach. I highly recommend this place to all from singles to family as this place has it all. Thanks Sue for 2 magical days n I can’t wait to come back. Cheers Mac

Access to the resort was difficult as we were driving from the south. New main road barriers in place but no sign post directions seen. Trying to find the road entry access at night when travelling on highway coming from direction of Coffs city centre was a problem. Location by beach great. Rooms nice, clean.

Loved staying in Apartment 11 with covered terrace and BBQ overlooking pool. So close to the beach to hear the waves and enjoy beach walks, including great coffee from coffee cart at beach carpark most mornings. Pool was nice. The apartment and complex were kept so clean and tidy. Really enjoyed our stay here.

We loved our stay here! Sue and Peter made us feel welcome, check in and out was easy. Our unit was spotless clean with everything provided for us to enjoy our stay. The kids loved the pool and tennis court at the resort and it was just a few steps to the beautiful beach. We would definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again next time we went down to Coffs.
