Opal Cove Resort offers a stunning escape where the architecture feels seamlessly integrated with the surrounding nature, creating a truly serene atmosphere. The rooms are well-appointed with excellent amenities, and the breakfast spread is a standout highlight that shouldn't be missed. While the staff was unable to provide a late checkout, they were incredibly accommodating by allowing us to use our access codes and continue enjoying all the resort facilities well after our official departure. Despite the rigid timing, the overall experience was fantastic, and I strongly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

Opal Cove is a little dated both inside and out, but the amenities were great. The pool was a really good size and, despite being quite busy with families, it never felt overcrowded. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the menu looked well suited for families. The resort itself was quiet, and our room was spacious, which was a big plus. The only real disappointment was that the bed sheets hadn’t fully dried and were damp near the bottom. As this was around 10pm, I didn’t call to have them changed, but unfortunately it made for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep.Overall, a pleasant stay with good facilities, but better attention to room preparation would have made a big difference.

My one-night stay with my group of older folk was great, in many ways. We appreciated the staff member who came onboard our coach to welcome us and distribute keys. Staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. While the building is older, it is generally in good order, with a paint refresh needed to bring it up to standard. Rooms were clean and spacious, with balconies with ocean views much appreciated. Meals were plentiful and delicious. It would have been much more convenient for our guests with limited mobility if allocated rooms were close to the lifts and in proximity to my room, as the group's host. My group was scattered throughout the complex, on different floors. It was a long walk from the lower floor lift around the outside of the building, avoiding stairs, to reach the restaurant. I would recommend this beautiful quiet location, with great pools and facilities

I was expecting the worse when I read some reviews, and perhaps we were lucky, but this place is really really good for the price! We paid $200/n in schools holidays, for a large room with 2 queen beds and a balcony. The room was fully renovated (incl bathroom) and the balcony had an ocean view. Staff were lovely and helpful. Pool was also really big and nice (and quiet). Great to sit by the pool with a book! We have nil complaints (ask for room 422!)

Large rooms (and plenty of them, you’ll be doing a fair amount of walking from room to services!), pools, arcade and restaurant. They even opened up the swim up bar while we were there and it was great!! Lagoon and beach a short walk in mowed pathways. There was also a sauna, gym, large chess set and piano if you’re game. The staff were great too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for one night, paid $160 for a Saturday night! Check in is open 24/7 which was brilliant as we arrived after 730pm. Rooms were large, clean and bed was comfortable. Great value for money. Location is perfect right on beach. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious & again great value for money. Steak $55 and Parma $34. All great facilities in the resort including the biggest arcade games room I’ve seen in a resort! We had the buffet Breakfast for $25, again delicious and great value for money. Yes resort is old & parts dates but for what you pay it’s worth it! Would def stay again, highly recommend.
