Overall a lovely lunch at Bergen. We had the Scallops, Barramundi and the prawn pasta, all great but no entree options at lunch was a bit disappointing. Had a chardy and and riesling by the glass that were delightful. The staff were attentive but noticeable that they were inexperienced, would have liked a bit more back on forth and chat around the menu, wine etc. Like other reviews it is a good bit noisy. All in all a great spot, great food and will be back.

This restaurant was recommended to us and it did not disappoint!! We had booked our table for 7:30pm on a Saturday evening. The service was so attentive and the staff took time to explain each of the dishes we were deciding on. After we ordered our meals our drinks arrived very quickly, and were delish. The food was world class. Cooked to perfection with beautiful presentation. The delightful sweet young ladies serving us (Miranda, Jess and Georgia) genuinely cared how we were enjoying our meals and regularly seeing if we needed anything more, checking our drinks and refilling our glasses. Warm friendly and very welcoming service saying please come back and say hi. Honestly, we had the best dining experience, the atmosphere was perfect, the music not too loud and we observed others around us thoroughly enjoying their meals and evening too. We met the Chef, Darren, and thanked him for our delicious meals. Will definitely be back!! Suze and Grant

Came in on a Thursday night, two of us for dinner. We ordered a few starters to share. The tempura oysters & gnocci were incredible, and the drinks were great. The rest of the starters were a bit lacking, the pork belly was served cold, the scallops, while cooked well, lacked a lot of flavour. The brisket was cooked well but very rich and nothing special. The garnish was also the same on each dish and felt lazy and cheap, and didn't add anything to the dish. During the meal and when paying each staff member failed to ask how our meals were, but didn't forget to ask if we wanted more drinks. We were given attention, but not really for the right reasons. For the prices they're charging you're better off visiting Host or Loulaki. Not trying to an annoying customer, just trying to give some constructive feedback.

Had such a great night here with friends. The service was genuinely outstanding. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming and really engaged with us, and they were attentive without being over the top. Our drinks were checked on regularly throughout the night, which made a huge difference and made us feel really well looked after. The food was just as impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and from start to finish, we felt like we were properly waited on and never rushed or forgotten. An amazing experience all round.

Dark, moody lighting made for a very romantic atmosphere. I came in unplanned and dining solo, but was immediately seated without any hassle. Despite the chilly weather outside, the indoor heaters kept things perfectly warm and cosy. Started with the beef brisket — absolutely incredible. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender; they gave me a steak knife but honestly, a butter knife was more than enough. The rich jus on the plate was packed with flavour. For the main, I had the lamb shoulder. Same story — fall-apart tender with beautifully soft, buttery fat. Both dishes were plated beautifully and clearly crafted with care. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, flavour, and experience made it well worth it. Highly recommend.

Dear Clayton, Katrina and the incredible Bergen team, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for hosting what was, without question, the most unforgettable way to welcome in the big 4-0! You absolutely outdid yourselves – the venue was electric, the food was next-level, and the energy? Unreal. I’m so grateful not only for the way you welcomed me and my friends, but also for joining in on the fun. I couldn’t have imagined a better crew to celebrate with.

My wife and I dined at Bergen for our wedding anniversary. My wife had the sand crab and prawn linguine which was delicious and had generous portions of seafood in it. However, I had the sirloin steak which was very chewy. For a five star restaurant that charges like one we would expect it to melt in your mouth! It certainly didn’t. The staff member also seemed new and mucked up a very simple bread order. When we were asked how the meal was and we told them the steak was chewy she did not know how to handle it. On paying we had a voucher and it was again handled poorly and the staff member didn’t seem to know what to do with it. We were asked again at checkout how the meal was and when we reiterated that the steak was chewy nothing was done about it.
